for sure it was worth it.
I think it made a big difference. I agree with that comment that some elbow grease would have helped, but overall it looks good. Maybe if it is done again, we consider earlier in the spring? that would help for those who take pride in their spaces, and would allow us to enjoy the clean space longer.

For the most part it looks pretty good - the south end of building 1000 still has quite a bit of staining . As to "worthwhile" it is a maintenance issue that will have to be carried on in the future - maybe with a company that brings a brush and soap with them though for the tough spots.

"Cleaning vinyl siding is important because it will collect dirt, debris and plant residue that attract mold and mildew. Dirty hands and bad storms will eventually cause the vinyl siding around your home to look dingy."

Looks pretty good, what a crock that is. It looks the same as it did before, what a complete waste of money. I'd like to know how much we spent on this because it was a poor use of my money. It is not a maintenace issue that's somebody's fantasy. I certainly hope my money is never spent on this again.

Quite the rant --- actually it IS a maintenance issue and if you care to take the time to look into it - most manufacturers recommend ANNUAL cleaning of vinyl siding. It probably didn't come up so well this time because it is the first time it has been done - (in the case of 1000 - that's 5 years)- but it is still better than it was. The main reason it wasn't done before was all the construction going on around us - like the condo's accross the street. I think YOUR money should be spent on this again, and maybe a little more often, but like I said in a previous post - the next one will hopefully have a little more soap and elbow grease applied.

I feel that they did a good job - but missed some spider web on the corner of my patio deck and did not pick up their rags (on the South west corner of Bldg 1000).

My deck still looks the same... doesn't look like anyone touched it.

I still want to know how much of my money was wasted on this, I have a right to know, it's my money. And I hope it is never done again. I think it's a little bit silly to be blaming the company. I saw them doing my building on Monday and they were pummeling it with water which suggests to me that more enough elbow grease was applied and this was a useless exercise from the beginning.

Seems to some wide variance on opinions on this issue. Myself I am somewhere in the middle. I think this would be a good item to take a show of hands at the AGM about, so we know if people support doing this again. After all if the people don't want it we shouldn't do it, and vice versa.

I think we got what we asked for (Power washing the buildings) but not what we wanted (clean buildings). The only way to get that is to use brushes and soap with the power washer (experience talking). The next time we do this we will have to stipulate this when we ask for quotes. It might be more expensive but could save some $$ in the long run ---- siding must be looked after, not only for appearance sake but for durability.

Do you think if you keep saying that someone will believe you? Well I don't for one. And I still want to know how much this cost.

It will show up in the annual budget (which you will receive)-- but your cost probably around $30 or a little less

I didn't see it although I did see the budget. So $30 a unit times how many units do we have, is it 300, that would be close to Ten thousand dollars and that is crazy.

actually what you pay is based on the number of units you own (of the whole complex- x/10,000)- that figure was for the larger units and we don't have 300 units - under 250 - but yes - nothing is free (Board labour excepted)
