They had that offer last year as well. It was actually the deal that got me looking into POV in the first place.

Unfortunately, the conditions are really strict and I didn't take it. The realtor was really confused but I just bought the place on the normal terms.

Mainly the conditions are:

1. You can only have a $20,000 down payment - which kind of hoops you long term.
2. You have to use BMO for your mortgage - and their contact is kind of a d!ck
3. It can't be used for 4th floor units - which was the deal breaker. I wanted the top floor.

Not a big deal really though, I am happy with how it came out.

And a whole year of reading bull on this message board probably made you regret buying it!

Did you read about the carbon monoxide scare in POV condos in McKenzie due to lack of maintenance on their air intakes?

That condo's air intake was not dirty, it frosted over due to the extreme ice fog. At Bridlewood we clean ours off nightly when such weather is occuring to prevent such an issue. I suspect many people are not aware it can frost shut in matter of hours in ice fog.

Well I am glad that you take care of your intakes but I seriously doubt that in normal conditions that a few hours is all it takes, that would be considered a serious design flaw and we'd be hearing about a lot more problems like the McKenzie incident a lot more frequently.

I did enjoy the part of the news article where the woman said she noticed something was wrong with it, but didn't bother to report it. Good thing nobody died!
